Grupthink is a different kind of social networking site. The idea for Grupthink grew out of an idea to allow people to interact freely online while exploring open topics of their choosing.
Anyone can pose a question, provide an answer and vote for their favorites. This is great for discussions about everything from "What is the sweatiest movie" to "What is the best restaurant in your town".
What you end up with is the aggregate answer of a community to an open-ended question similar to poll results.
On Grupthink, you can set up your own profile, create your own grups and topics. Your grups and topics can be limited to grup members or they can be open to the public. You can invite friends to join and to vote on your topics.
You can even create a poll and put it on your website or Blog Post. I used Method 2 for ActiveRain, but for your website, you can add an interactive poll. From the Topic Bar, just select the second icon for "Put this topic on your website."
What makes Grupthink even better is that it was developed by the hometown company, Modwest here in Missoula. So have fun and check out the site.

Hi Kevin & Monica ~ A fun site - thanks for pointing it out. I skimmed through the question (on the front page under "Most Popular") re what web site do you visit every day and it didn't seem that anybody had posted Active Rain. There's a place to put in an image / icon and I couldn't figure out how to do it so didn't. Hope somebody more clever than me will put it on there so we can all vote.

Hi Liz, good observation, I didn't see that question. I added Active Rain as an option but it is #162 at the moment so you'll have to scroll down. Let's see if we can get it to move up in rank.
