DeBoria Montana is located in southwestern Montana, situated near the Idaho and Montana borders on I-90, just east of Saint Regis.
De Borgia was named for the Saint Regis de Borgia River, by Father de Smet in 1841. Father de Smet was a member of the Jesuit order who founded the first Catholic mission, Saint Mary's Mission in Stevensville that same year. The first post office was established in 1900 with Elizabeth Wence as postmaster.
De Borgia is a popular destination for snowmobiling and is close to skiing at Lookout and the Hiawatha Trail - a popular bicylce tour area with amazing views.
There are still some great buys in Montana real estate in DeBorgia but prices are on the rise. The west end of Mineral County, which experienced the highest gains, saw the median home price rise to $222,500 - a 37.6% increase from 2006!
