Oh wow...what kind of lens did you use.  This is so perfect!  I love the grace of the Eagle, and tried so hard to get a close up of one in Oregon but didn't....

I've never seen an eagle in real life - this picture is beautiful!  Did he catch his dinner after all?

Kevin, That's a great shot!  How did you get so close?  You must have quite the lens!

That's a great photo.  You must have a serious camera.  I live in Port Townsend, WA and we have quite a few eagles.  They stalk my little Shit Zhus while we walk on the beach, circling and screeching.  So beautiful, but always on the move and hard to photograph.

This is such a beautiful, close-up! I'm curious, too, about the lens, or knowing how far away you were when you took this. Really wonderful! Thanks for sharing this.

Hi Kathy - thank you for the comment and the RT on Twitter :)

Ann - not sure if he caught dinner, he flew away shortly after the picture.

Hi Marchel, Sandra, and Mara - Kevin took this picture with his Canon Digital Rebel using a Canon EF 75-300mm Lens. His camera is a few years old now but still takes nice photos. Also he said it was taked without a tripod but standing on top of his truck :)

Kevin loves his digital Rebel, he's looking at getting a newer model soon so our 15 year old daughter is already requesting this camera.

What an incredible photo of that eagle.  It must have been quite experience getting this shot on top of the truck!
