Today's Twitter Basics For Business Class - A Great Experience!
We taught our first social media class in Missoula today on Twitter Basics for Business. It was a Free class at the Missoula Public Library meeting room. We ended up with a good turnout, made new friends, and had a great time. We also were given the opportunity for an interview at a local radio station because of the event.
Read about it and hear the interview here: We Ended Up on the Radio Today Thanks to Twitter!

Our daughter Kelsey was allowed to take the day off from school and helped sign people in to the class and took some video. We'll post video of the event later. We just started using our new Flip video camera so it needs some editing first.
Our friend from Twitter and ActiveRain Blogs - Clint Miller from Real Estate Client Referrals was gracious enough to join us for this event. We've known Clint online for close to two years but this was our first face-to-face meeting. Clint @RECR has more than 17,000 tweets on Twitter. He spoke about building relationships using Twitter for business.

Still trying to catch on to the twitter thing.
Hi Mike - it's worth learning, it's a lot of fun! We'll post the video of our class on Youtube when it's finished.
Thanks for sharing. Although I keep hearing that Twitter has business applications, it seems as if I just don't work at it hard enough to make it work for me.
Didn't try twitter yet. Would love to some day. thanks a lot for sharing the info.
It's great to see you reaching out to the community to share your social networking skills. This will have a positive long-term effect on your business, and you'll probably make some great friends along the way, too!
Kevin & Monica, Your daughter is beautiful! I could sure use that class...I need some hands on help with that site :)
Twitter's very hot right now. It will be interesting to see if it has the same staying power as things like Facebook. I heard today that 60% of the people who sign up drop off after 30-60 days.
This class was a blast! I thank you so much for inviting me to attend and help present. I had an awesome time...and this is most definitely something we should do again!! :-)
Hi Vickie - hang in there, it just takes some practice!
Hi Suma - give it a try, it's fun!
Hi John - thank you, we thought about charging for the class but are glad we kept it free, it was fun.
Hi Carole - thank you - we think so too! :) I'll share the video with you once it's ready, I'm still learning how to use video.
Hi Kathy - I just heard about that too, unfortunately it's not as user-friendly initially as it could be but it's great once you get the hang of it.
Hi Clint - it was a blast and thank you so much for helping us! I agree, we MUST do this again!
Let me know when you're coming to Florida....LOL You guys are having a blast with Twitter
Hi Gail - will do, we'd love to come to Florida.
I just posted an article about How We Are Using Twitter for Real Estate http://activerain.com/blogsview/1061868/How-Twitter-Can-Help-You-Sell-More-Real-Estate.
Kevin & Monica - Congratulations on your twitter basics class, and getting on the radio. I know there is a lot more I can be doing on twitter.
